The Culture and Leisure team welcomes students and trainees as soon as they arrive at the CUEF. They are ready to help them discover and appreciate the numerous attractions the region offers. There is always a staff member on duty to make the students’ stay as pleasant as can be. Lying close to Switzerland, Italy, and the Mediterranean, Grenoble offers a large number of excursions to remarkable sites. Either in summer or winter, everyone can enjoy outdoor sports activities, like hiking, skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, etc – the perfect place to live nature to the full.

Alsace : European Parliament in Strasbourg, Riquewihr and a regional vineyard tour ;
Nice/Côte d'Azur : Carnival of Nice, Cannes Film Festival, Grand Prix of Monaco in May ;
Loire castles : famous castles in Angers, Amboise, Blois, Chambord, Chenonceau etc. ;
Venice : Carnival in February. Prices: between 140 euros and 285 euros.

Annecy, the Little Venice of the French Alps : Firework Festival on the Lake in August and the Mountain Pasture Festival in October ;
Avignon : Festival of the Arts, the ancient theatre in Orange, the Popes' Palace and the “Pont du Gard” ;
Chamonix : the Aguille du Midi cable car, altitude over 3,800 meters and the “mer de glace” (sea of ice) ;
Chartreuse : monastery and the wine cellars ;
Lyon : old town, the Fabric Museum and the tête d’or public park ;
Vercors Massif : Choranche caves, Gorges de la Bourne and the perched houses ;
